This 53 year old woman discovered two palpable masses in the inferior and lateral Left breast (see CIS diagram) and came for thermographic evaluation. No previous breast surgery or biopsies are reported. No female hormone supplements. No children. She is otherwise healthy and taking no medications. Note that the average breast temperature difference is only 0.5°F (0.2°F, max), yet the underlying pathology does create a visible thermal asymmetry in the frontal thermograms. The patient underwent lumpectomy surgery followed by chemotherapy. She is without signs of recurrence 7 years later.
