Become Member Certified

Five Reasons to Become Member Certified

Be Confident You Are Doing It Right

Participating in the AAT Technician Member Certification course demonstrates that you intend to achieve a recognized level of competence in patient preparation, image acquisition, and protocol implementation.  Participating in the AAT Physician Member Certification course shows that you want to understand the difference between thermal findings, thermal impressions, and clinical impressions, and that you want to demonstrate introductory competence in the creation of thermography reports.  Physicians who intend to generate reports on a regular basis are encouraged to take the AAT Physician Thermography Interpretation course.  Enrolling in an AAT Member Certification course, and completion of the AAT  Physician Thermography Interpretation course, shows you are serious about implementing and utilizing Medical Thermal imaging.

Protect Yourself And Your Patients

Upon completion of a Member Certification course you may apply for Member Certification.   Member Certification means that you have a working knowledge of AAT Guidelines and that the AAT has gone on record that you know how to practice according to those Guidelines.   Doing so protects you and your patients as compliance with the Guidelines means that your practice is consistent with policies and procedures established by accepted internationally peer reviewed medical panels.  If credentials are ever questioned, being Member Certified is your first line of defense.

Take the Next Step Toward Becoming a Senior Member

Becoming a Senior Member is a true sign of excellence.  Senior Members are recognized within the Academy as being competent in thermal imaging interpretation, having submitted a paper, abstract, case report, or column to a professionally relevant publication, and have demonstrated lecture or other equivalent teaching methodology. Unlike Certified Members, Senior and Fellow Members are not required to undergo re-certification every three years (however you must be Member Certified in order to apply for Senior Membership).

Increase Your Influence and Improve Patient Care

Only Voting Members or distinguished professionals approved by the Board are eligible for election or appointment as an Officer or member of the AAT Board of Directors. By becoming Member Certified you can increase your ability to influence position statements, policies and procedures in the field of Thermal Imaging. In the process of becoming Member Certified you will gain insight into the proper way to obtain medical thermal imaging studies, the interpretation of abnormal thermal imaging results, and learn how to offer different diagnostic and treatment paradigms that will help your patients.

Become a Recognized Expert

The first step toward become a recognized expert in the field and creating distinction for yourself is to become AAT Member Certified. Member Certification means you have submitted case studies for peer review, have undergone written and/or verbal examination to assess your base of knowledge in the field of Medical Thermal Imaging, and have demonstrated professional leadership in the field.
